In Mary’s Words…

Our love story began about four years ago in September of 2009 when I decided to join eHarmony on a whim one evening.  I thoroughly and enthusiastically completed the personality profile (I love questionnaires!) but didn’t expect too much to happen right away.  Boy, was I wrong!  A handsome internet entrepreneur named Chuck Mullins was in my very first set of matches! Shortly after being matched, Chuck initiated contact.  He was the first and only person I would ever talk to via eHarmony!  (I think we should do a commercial!)  During our early conversations, we discovered that we had several mutual friends.  In fact, he already knew Dave, my brother-in-law!  That certainly made me feel more at ease about dating someone I met on the internet!  After a few days of emailing, texting, and talking on the phone, Chuck and I met in person for the first time on September 7, 2009.  Chuck originally planned an elaborate first date for September 9th, but after hitting it off so well, we decided to meet earlier at Outback Steakhouse by Chuck’s house.  (Don’t worry…he still took me on the elaborate date two days later!)

I have been Chuck’s sidekick ever since.  About two months after we started dating, we went on our first trip together – a Carribean cruise with some of his friends.  Little did I know at the time, but that was my first of many trips with Chuck!  We both have a passion for exploring the world together.  So far, we have traveled to the Carribean, Hawaii, Europe, and more places in the continental United States than I can count, and we are always thinking about where we want to go next.  When we aren’t traveling, we love to eat out at local restaurants, watch our favorite television shows, hang out with friends, and spend time with our families and three dogs.

We can’t wait to start the next chapter in our lives.  Thank you for going on this journey with us!
