Wedding Day Details

The Ceremony will be held at 3:03 pm at The Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Downtown Orlando.  Since Mary’s brother is an Episcopal Priest, he will be officiating the ceremony in this beautiful, historic Cathedral.  The ceremony will be a full mass and will take about an hour.  As an Episcopalian for many years, it is a dream come true for Mary to be getting married here.  Her brother officiating the ceremony is the icing on an already delicious cake!

the abbeyCocktail hour is immediately following the ceremony at The Abbey - only .9 miles away from the church.  The Abbey is a spacious lounge space located downstairs from the reception venue.  You’ll know you are in the correct place because you’ll see our names on the marquee!  During cocktail hour, you will enjoy drinks and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres to curb your hunger until dinner.  While we’re sure that the food at cocktail hour will be delicious, make sure to save some room.  We think dinner is going to be pretty epic!

The reception venue, The Mezz, is located around the corner and upstairs from The Abbey.  (It’s in the same building – The Sanctuary Building.)  The Mezz is a super fun, hip venue with an awesome sound system and cool lighting, and we are beyond excited to be holding our reception there.  We know that the key to an awesome reception is the fun people in attendance, so with our crowd, we are certain that it will be a good time!  Drinks will be flowing, food will be in abundance, and the dance floor will be open.  Don’t be shy because we sure won’t be!

After the reception, we will likely keep the party going at one of the many downtown Orlando hotspots.  We will update you with information on this as we figure it all out, but we’d love to continue celebrating with you if you are feeling up for it!

Please note, the Embassy Suites (where we have a block of rooms reserved) is half way between the church and the reception venue.  The hotel is .4 miles from each place.  (To book your room with the group rate, click here!)  If the weather is nice, you may even want to leave your car parked at the hotel and walk to the wedding events.  Otherwise, valet parking is available at the Cocktail Hour/Reception venue.
